Gerard Holden - Non-Executive Chairman
A veteran investment banker who for many years led Barclays Capital’s Global Natural Resources investment banking business. He was intimately involved in many of the sector’s landmark transactions during that time and has historically arranged financing for a number of bauxite mines, alumina refineries and aluminium smelters. Gerard was one of the founders of Barclays Capital’s Commodities Division which included a physical bauxite, alumina and aluminium trading activity. He sits on a number of mining company Boards and at one time was Chairman of Audit Committee and Strategy Committee for the world¹s largest nickel and palladium producer, Russian based Norilsk Nickel. A driving force behind the establishment of the Equator Principles, Gerard was a key member of the group whichprepared a seminal report into the relationship between the mining sector and society, completed at the end of the last century. This resulted in the formation of a new industry group called the International Council on Mining and Metals. In this capacity Gerard addressed the Mining CEO Group at Davos on the importance of sustainable development for the mining sector. Today Gerard focuses on managing a private portfolio of assets, chairing a natural resources advisory business and acting as senior adviser to investment bank VTB Capital in London and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Khalifa bin Hamdan al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

Alex Preston - Non-Executive Director
Previously, a commodities trader for Barclays Capital before co-founding Verivox GmbH, Germany's largest utility price comparison website. Over a period of 20 years, Alex built Verivox into a multi-hundred million Euro business with over 300 employees. Verivox has helped over 8 million people switch supplier, the equivalent of over 20% of all German households, and save over €2.1bn. The company has won numerous awards including Cyber Champion 2010, IT innovation prize 2010 and Comparison website of the year from 2012 to 2016. As a true entrepreneur, Alex is involved in a wide variety of businesses spanning many sectors. He is well connected with other successful entrepreneurs and is a regular business connector generating significant capital raises. Alex is a Freeman of the City of London and of the Merchant Taylors' Company. He is a patron of Blind Veterans UK.
